Did you know the Town of Marana holds a free concert at the Crossroads at Silverbell Park the first Saturday of each month?
The next concert is coming up…this Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 7 pm. The park is located at 7548 N. Silverbell Rd, right behind the Wheeler Taft Abbett Library.
The Larry Redhouse Trio is led by Navajo pianist Larry Redhouse, an indigenous American musician performing America’s original art form – jazz. His trio music has matured with a distinctively modern jazz sound, incorporating elements of straight-ahead jazz, Latin and funk styles into unique heart-felt interpretations of jazz standards and brilliant, soul-stirring originals. Redhouse has led groups that have opened for such notable jazz musicians as Chick Corea, Terence Blanchard and Donald Harrison. The trio has also performed at The Smithsonian Museum, The Kennedy Center Jazz Club, The Steinway Peace Piano Concert and The Grenoble Jazz Festival in France.
